Obtaining one’s own personalized identity in today’s day and age is exceedingly hard. With so many advances in technologies leading to something bigger, better, and more in the now each and every sidereal day, it’s hard to discover something that truly specifies a person without being ridiculed or thrown into the “so yesterday” class without so much as a second glance. It is so hard to be an individual when masses are constantly looking at what the next individual has, how they dress, what they listen to, where they journey, or basically how they live their life. In order to sincerely be an individual these days one demands to go old school, turn back the scripts of the clock to a time when objects were casual, where men in reality knocked on a woman’s door with her favorite flowers instead of texting the destination of an overpopulated, overcrowded, high-priced club or bar. Back to a time where individuals wrote each other passion letters on personalized stationery, opened doors for one another, and bonded over coffee and sweets instead of instant messages and MySpace music downloads.

Individuals don’t realize that in place to stand out these days, they have to in reality try very to not to succeed the crowds and the pod people that plague today’s society. We are severely living in an environment that almost forces us to follow individuals as opposed to standing on our own two individual feet. Having a sense of self is extremely difficult for many individuals in a “normal” society so one can only think how hard it may be for a somebody to find themselves in a booming city such as Chicago or New York where people are spoon fed what they should like or disfavor.

Ladies and gents, try busting out that personalized stationery instead of sending an email, try matching a member of the opposite sex in the food market store or a local coffee house, and most importantly, try doing anything that no one else you know has done yet. The impression can be quite releasing.
